Role Overview:

We are seeking a Mechanical Systems Designer for our Silverstone facility. You will be responsible for designing and engineering components for our car's sub-systems, primarily focusing on Cooling, Fuel, Pneumatic, Hydraulic, and Exhaust Systems, as well as other Powertrain activities. Principal Responsibilities:

• Develop schemes, layouts, and detailed drawings for car system parts, ensuring accuracy on the first attempt.
• Take ownership of your designs, including troubleshooting and implementing solutions based on rig and track feedback.
• Coordinate with Cadillac departments, our Power Unit partner, and suppliers.
• Balance performance, reliability, and cost considerations.
• Stay updated with technological developments in your area.
• Support sustainable manufacturing practices without compromising performance.

Requirements:

• Degree in Engineering or related field, 2:1 or higher preferred.
• Extensive experience with high-end CAD systems; Catia/3DX preferred. Training available for other systems.
• Strong understanding of race car system principles and physics.
• Design experience in Powertrain, Cooling, Fuel, or Hydraulic systems, ideally in motorsport. Composite design experience is a plus.
• Interest in innovation, such as biomimicry, new technologies, additive manufacturing, AI tools, and automation.
• Curious, committed to learning, adaptable to change.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Self-motivated, innovative, able to work independently under tight deadlines.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
• Contribute positively to an inclusive culture.
