Job summary

Bridges Electrical Engineers Ltd is seeking an experienced Mechanical Supervisor / Fitter to oversee mechanical installations across the Southern region. You will ensure all work is installed to the highest standards, in line with the project quality plan and inspection and test procedures, while promoting Bridges' values on site.

This position is contracted to 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, paid hourly with overtime.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising mechanical installations on industrial projects.
• Strong client-facing communication and engagement skills.
• Ability to interpret project plans and inspection/test requirements.

Responsibilities

• Supervise mechanical installations to the highest standards per QA/QC plans.
• Ensure compliance with project quality plan and ITPs.
• Promote STAR dynamic risk assessment and Bridges values on site.
• Support health and wellbeing initiatives among peers and teams.
• Maintain professional liaison with clients and subcontractors.

Job description

Contracted to 40hrs per week, Monday to Friday. Paid hourly with overtime paid. You will be paid travel time door to door on top of your contracted and overtime hours.

We are hiring due to an increase in workload across the Southern region.

Company Van with fuel card issued.

Role Purpose:

• To be responsible for supervising mechanical instillations
• Ensure that all items are installed to the highest standards, in compliance with the projects quality plan and inspection and test plans
• To follow and promote the STAR dynamic risk assessment
• Promote and demonstrate the Bridges' values when dealing with peers, staff, customers, and clients
• Promote positive health and well-being amongst their peers

As an already experienced CompEx Mechanical Engineer, you will be able to demonstrate a wide range of knowledge and a desire to go the extra mile, ensuring the ability to answer our client's needs. You will enjoy speaking to clients in person and taking the initiative to get tasks done.

• Experience within water, construction, or industrial industries.
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Fit for work medical.
• Good client engagement and communication skills
• Appropriate City & Guilds trade qualification
• SSSTS/SMSTS

Desirable:

• EUSR
• PASMA/IPAF
• Confined Space
• Inspection and testing certification
