Job description

Job title: Mechanical Supervisor (Nightshift)

Location: Glasgow

What you’ll be doing:

Leveraging your Mechanical Engineering experience, to lead and supervise a multiskilled team to ensure that all activities are completed on time and of the quality of output consistent with operational standard and requirement.

• Installing main machinery
• Reading and understanding technical drawings
• Set up and aligning shafts thrusters, rudders gear boxes, pumps and commissioning mechanical equipment
• Set work to the team to maximise utilisation of labour and meet delivery schedules
• Providing technical advice to the team and identify process improvements
• Updating all relevant documents including daily progress registers, log books, accident book, training, performance and attendance.

Experience

• Educated to HNC level in a related subject
• Supervisory experience in an industrial environment
