Job description

We are currently recruiting on behalf of an engineering consultancy in Glasgow, seeking a skilled Structural Technician for a 4-month contract.

On Offer for the Structural Technician (Contract)

• Location: Glasgow, Scotland
• Contract Duration: 4 months (with potential for extension)
• Hourly Rate: £30 per hour (DOE)
• Software Proficiency: AutoCAD and CADS RC

Key Responsibilities:

• Produce detailed structural drawings for various materials, including steel, reinforced concrete and timber, using AutoCAD and CADS RC.
• Work closely with engineers and other team members to ensure designs meet project specifications and standards.
• Maintain accurate and organised records of all drawings and revisions.
• Conduct thorough checks to ensure all drawings comply with relevant standards and regulations.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

• Advanced skills in AutoCAD and CADS RC.
• Proven experience in structural detailing within a consultancy or engineering environment.
• Strong understanding of structural design principles and construction methods.
• HNC/HND in Civil or Structural Engineering, or equivalent experience.
