Job summary

Involve Recruitment is partnering with a well-established M&E contractor to recruit a Mechanical Supervisor for Cardiff region projects. This site-based role oversees installation, commissioning, and on-site delivery, coordinating trades and subcontractors to meet programme and quality standards.

The role emphasises health and safety, toolbox talks, inductions, and seamless handover through commissioning and snagging.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising M&E installations on construction sites.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical services.
• SSSTS or SMSTS certification preferred.
• Trade background in mechanical or electrical disciplines.
• Good health & safety practices and regulatory awareness.
• Ability to manage subcontractors and keep to programme.
• Excellent communication and organisation skills.
• Full UK driving licence.

We're working with a well-established and growing M&E contractor with a strong pipeline of secured work across South Wales. Due to continued expansion, they are seeking a Mechanical Supervisor to oversee site delivery across projects in the Cardiff region.

This is a key site-based role, responsible for coordinating mechanical installation works, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme, and to the highest quality standards.

The Role

As an Mechanical Supervisor, you will be responsible for:

• Supervising mechanical works on site from installation through to commissioning
• Coordinating subcontractors and direct labour across multiple trades
• Ensuring works are delivered in line with programme requirements
• Maintaining high health & safety standards across site
• Carrying out toolbox talks and site inductions
• Monitoring quality of installation and ensuring compliance with specifications
