Job summary

Derygate Ltd, a Midlands-based M&E contractor, is seeking an experienced Mechanical Site Supervisor to lead day-to-day site activities across the UK. You will supervise mechanical installations and coordinate electrical and building trades to ensure on-time, safe delivery of projects in healthcare, education, offices, retail, and leisure sectors.

The role offers a permanent contract with a salary in the £45,000-£55,000 range plus overtime, a company van or car allowance, 22 days leave plus

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Site Supervisor or similar role in building services.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, heating).
• Ability to coordinate multiple trades including electrical and builders works.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Willingness to travel nationwide.
• DBS and BPSS security vetting arranged by company.

Responsibilities

• Supervise mechanical works and oversee additional trades when required
• Ensure all work meets specification and quality standards through regular inspections
• Manage site operations in line with the Health & Safety plan
• Supervise all site personnel, subcontractors, suppliers, and visitors
• Conduct site inductions and ensure ongoing compliance with safety regulations
• Monitor and report on the progress of works in accordance with project programmes
• Raise material requisitions in advance to maintain progress schedules
• Control and monitor all plant, tools, and materials on site
• Inspect and ensure the quality of completed works, directing rectification where necessary

About the Company

An established Midlands-based M&E contractor is seeking an experienced Mechanical Site Supervisor to join their growing team. The company delivers mechanical and electrical design, installation, and maintenance services across sectors including healthcare, education, offices, retail, and leisure. You'll work closely with the Projects Team, supervising a range of mechanical projects — while also overseeing additional trades such as electrical, builders works, and associated civil activities when required.

Role Overview

As the M&E Supervisor, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day supervision of site activities to ensure high-quality, safe, and timely project delivery. Projects will include a mix of mechanical, electrical, and building services installations across a variety of environments.

• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Willingness to travel nationwide as required
• Must be able to complete DBS and BPSS security vetting (arranged by company)
