Job description

Mechanical Supervisor

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to manage mechanical operations on residential and commercial construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of mechanical systems, project management skills, and the ability to lead a team of technicians to meet project deadlines and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Supervise mechanical installations and maintenance for residential and commercial projects.
2. Ensure work is completed in compliance with local mechanical codes and regulations.
3. Lead, manage, and train a team of mechanical technicians and apprentices on-site.
4. Coordinate and oversee the daily operations of mechanical teams, ensuring efficiency and safety.
5. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other contractors to ensure projects run on schedule.
6. Review and interpret mechanical blueprints and schematics to ensure accurate installation.
7. Monitor project costs and resources to ensure budgets are maintained.
8. Perform quality control checks and ensure safety standards are upheld.
9. Provide technical expertise and problem-solving during the project lifecycle.

Qualifications:

1. Relevant mechanical certification or qualifications.
2. SSSTS / SMSTS certification.
3. Proven experience as a Mechanical Supervisor in residential and/or commercial projects.
4. Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, codes, and regulations.
5. Experience leading and managing mechanical teams.
6. Excellent communication and organizational skills.
7. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
8. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
9. Previous experience working on high-end or large-scale residential/commercial projects is a plus.
