Mechanical Supervisors lead teams of 8-25 skilled laborers in constructing, repairing, and maintaining locomotives and railcars. During training, you'll learn to conduct inspections and repairs at the component level, understand compliance standards of NS, AAR, and FRA, and participate in process improvement initiatives. After a six-month training program, you'll be promoted to Mechanical Supervisor at a locomotive shop or freight car repair facility.
