Fawkes & Reece London is seeking an experienced, mechanically biased Site Manager to oversee the delivery of mechanical works on a MoJ project. You will manage the mechanical supply chain, coordinate subcontractors and drive progress against the programme.
The role requires strong knowledge of mechanical installation, RAMS, QA and Health & Safety, plus proactive site leadership and clear communication to resolve issues before they impact schedule.
Our client is a specialist sub-contractor who has been established for over 25 years working across complex commercial and building-services projects, providing services from design through to installation and commissioning. They have experience working with main contractors and direct clients, including technically demanding environments and high-end projects.
Our client is looking for an experienced, mechanically biased Site Manager to oversee the delivery of mechanical works on a MoJ project.
The successful candidate will take responsibility for managing the mechanical supply chain, coordinating subcontractors and driving progress against the agreed programme. You will work closely with the Project Manager, engineers and wider site team to ensure works are delivered efficiently, safely and to the required quality standards.
You will oversee day-to-day mechanical activities, ensuring installations are delivered in accordance with approved drawings, specifications and RAMS. The role will involve monitoring programme progress, coordinating trades, managing resources and materials, resolving site issues and ensuring subcontractor performance meets project requirements.
Maintaining high standards of Health & Safety and quality will be central to the role, alongside supporting testing, commissioning, snagging and final handover.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience in Site Management, with a strong background in mechanical building services and construction.
You will have experience managing mechanical subcontractors and supply-chain partners, coordinating works on live construction projects and driving delivery against programme. Strong knowledge of mechanical installation, construction sequencing, RAMS, quality control and Health & Safety is essential.
The successful candidate will be a proactive and organised site-based manager with strong communication skills and the ability to identify and resolve issues before they impact programme or quality.
Relevant qualifications such as SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid are desirable. Previous experience within secure, custodial, government or similarly controlled environments would be advantageous, particularly given the nature of the MoJ project.
