Purpose:

To carry out PPM, reactive, and breakdown works on all Mechanical systems within the site. Operate and manage engineering assets to support the business with minimal disruptions in a cost-effective manner. Manage reactive work requests to ensure timely responses and closures, and develop management tools to report on asset and building performance, recommending improvements.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Ensure routine PPM is carried out on all mechanical plant as per site schedules and asset lists.
• Complete reactive tasks and proactively identify areas for improvement, including stores and fabric-related issues.
• Swiftly remedy plant faults and defects to maintain operational order.
• Maintain suitable spares inventory and provide parts estimates for remedial works.
• Keep the Computer-Based Maintenance system (e.g., Concept, Smart Hub) updated, closing tickets with accurate data.
• Complete all paperwork related to reactive and breakdown works promptly for contract administration.
• Prepare and utilize Method Statements and Risk Assessments for all tasks to ensure safety.
• Keep plant rooms clean, tidy, and securely locked.

Education and Training:

• Formally trained in a mechanical discipline (e.g., HVAC, Plumbing) to City and Guilds Level 3 or NVQ Level 2.
