Job summary

Hunter Selection is seeking a Service Engineer - Mechanical to join a market-leading supplier of automated processing solutions in the UK. The role involves on-site service, maintenance, and occasional installations with nationwide travel.

You will inspect, survey, and service equipment, provide customer training, and work with high-speed conveyor systems across varied facilities in the UK.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical skills with gears, bearings, shafts and belts.
• Mechanically qualified up to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
• Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience with material handling equipment and conveyors is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer sites across the UK to service and perform planned maintenance on high-speed conveyor-based systems.
• Provide high-level technical on-site support and troubleshooting.
• Deliver on-site training to customers.
• Prepare timely report sheets detailing work performed and findings.
• Cover a broad range of vertical elevating equipment and ensure quality service.
