Job summary

Group Metropolitan Limited is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support the delivery of mechanical projects from pre-construction through completion. You will work with the Project Manager and team to coordinate site activities, subcontractors, programmes and safety, ensuring quality and commercial alignment.

This role offers growth in practical project management, with responsibilities increasing as competence develops.

Qualifications

• Experience in an Assistant Project Manager, Project Engineer, Site Management or similar role within mechanical/building services.
• Knowledge of mechanical building services and infrastructure, ideally in critical environments or data centre projects.
• Understanding of construction lifecycle from pre-construction to handover.

Responsibilities

• Promote safe working culture and practices on site.
• Comply with procedures, policies and legal obligations.
• Coordinate site activities and the wider project team including subcontractors.
• Maintain quality assurance and HSQE procedures.
• Manage site records, programmes, risk assessments and method statements.
• Support cost tracking and cost control for small variations and works.
