Job summary

Salter Grange Limited is recruiting an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to lead the mechanical package on a major hyperscale data centre project, working with the Project Director, engineering teams, subcontractors and client to ensure safe, high-quality and timely delivery.

This senior role requires strong leadership, programme, commercial and stakeholder management skills, with proven experience across installation, commissioning and handover of mechanical building services in data

Qualifications

• Experience as Mechanical Project Manager on major construction projects.
• Strong data centre, mission-critical, pharmaceutical, industrial or large-scale commercial project background.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage safety, quality and schedule.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical scope from construction through commissioning and handover.
• Manage mechanical subcontractors, suppliers and site teams.
• Coordinate mechanical works with CSA, electrical and other disciplines.
• Ensure works delivered safely, on programme and to quality standards.
• Manage programme, progress, costs, procurement and reporting.
• Review technical documentation, drawings and method statements.
• Oversee installation, testing, commissioning and handover of systems.
• Manage inspections, RFIs and technical queries.
• Work closely with client, design team and project leadership.
• Drive performance and achieve milestones.

Mechanical Project Manager - Data Centre

Salter Grange is recruiting an experienced Mechanical Project Manager for a major hyperscale data centre project on behalf of a leading international technical contractor.

This is a senior opportunity to take responsibility for the delivery of the mechanical package on a large-scale data centre project, working closely with the Project Director, engineering teams, subcontractors and client to ensure safe, high-quality and timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of the mechanical scope from construction through to commissioning and handover.
• Manage mechanical subcontractors, suppliers and site teams.
• Coordinate mechanical works with CSA, electrical, commissioning and other project disciplines.
• Ensure works are delivered safely, on programme and to the required quality standards.
• Manage programme, progress, costs, procurement and project reporting.
• Review technical documentation, drawings, specifications and method statements.
• Oversee installation, testing, commissioning and handover of mechanical systems.
• Manage inspections, quality issues, RFIs and technical queries.
• Work closely with the client, design team and project leadership.
• Drive performance and ensure project milestones are achieved.

• Strong experience within data centres, mission-critical, pharmaceutical, industrial or large-scale commercial projects.
