Job summary

Eden Brown is seeking an experienced Lead Mechanical Project Manager to join a growing project delivery team at the start of a major hyperscale data centre scheme in the UK. You will oversee the HVAC packages from pre-construction through to commissioning, coordinating multi-disciplinary teams and subcontractors on a high-value project.

The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong track record delivering complex building services, with excellent communication, health & safety oversight,

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a mechanical (HVAC) project manager on large building services projects.
• Experience delivering high-value building services across data centers or critical infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems and MEP installations.
• Experience managing subcontractors and multiple work packages.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to manage programs and milestones.
• Knowledge of health and safety legislation.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and project reporting systems.
• Able to coordinate with client, subcontractor and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage the delivery of Mechanical packages from pre con to award and through to completion.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and internal delivery teams.
• Manage project planning, sequencing and progress reporting.
• Chair and attend client, subcontractor and coordination meetings.
• Oversee procurement schedules and material management.
• Manage technical queries, RFIs and design coordination.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements.
• Produce progress reports, look-aheads and commercial updates.
• Support commissioning activities, snagging and final handover.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Lead Mechanical Project Manager to join a growing project delivery team at the start of the construction of one of the largest hyperscale data centre schemes in the UK - A 140 MW scheme!

This role will take responsibility for the operational delivery of the Mechanical (HVAC) packages from pre-construction/ Scope/ Procurement/ validation of subcontractors and ultimately to commissioning and handover. The successful candidate will have experience delivering complex building services installations and coordinating multidisciplinary teams on fast-paced projects and importantly experience in handling as a single discipline electrical project values of 30 + million within a project cost

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Senior Project Manager looking to work on large-scale mission critical, commercial or infrastructure projects. If you have experience of cooling withing the Data centre space this would be advantageous

• Data centre, critical infrastructure, commercial or industrial project experience desirable.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems and MEP installations.
• Experience managing subcontractors and multiple work packages.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong commercial awareness.
• Ability to manage programmes and project delivery milestones.
• Good understanding of health and safety legislation.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and project reporting systems.
