Electrical Project Manager - Hyperscale Data Centre
Salter Grange is recruiting an experienced Electrical Project Manager for a major hyperscale data centre project on behalf of a leading international technical contractor.
This is a senior opportunity to take responsibility for the delivery of the electrical package on a large-scale data centre project, working closely with the Project Director, engineering teams, subcontractors and client to ensure safe, high-quality and timely delivery.
Electrical Project Manager Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of the electrical scope from construction through to commissioning and handover.
- Manage electrical subcontractors, suppliers, engineers and site teams.
- Coordinate electrical works with mechanical, CSA, commissioning and other project disciplines.
- Oversee installation of HV/LV distribution, switchgear, transformers, UPS, generators, busbar, containment and associated systems.
- Ensure works are delivered safely, on programme and to the required quality standards.
- Manage programme, progress, resources, procurement and project reporting.
- Review drawings, specifications, technical documentation and method statements.
- Manage inspections, testing, commissioning and handover activities.
- Lead coordination meetings and resolve technical and delivery issues.
- Work closely with the client, design team and project leadership to achieve key milestones.
Electrical Project Manager Requirements
- Proven experience as an Electrical Project Manager on major construction projects.
- Strong experience within data centres, mission-critical, pharmaceutical, industrial or large-scale commercial projects.
- Strong knowledge of electrical building services and construction delivery.
- Experience with HV/LV systems, UPS, generators, switchgear and critical power infrastructure.
- Proven experience managing electrical subcontractors and multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong programme, commercial and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience through installation, commissioning and final handover.
- Relevant electrical engineering qualification or equivalent trade background.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to operate effectively within a fast-paced, high-value project environment.
