Job summary

DPL Group is seeking a Mechanical Project Manager to lead large commercial building services projects in Ipswich and the surrounding areas. You will manage across inception to completion, taking responsibility for programme, cost control, quality and health & safety, while coordinating with clients, consultants and subcontractors.

Candidate has proven M&E project management experience, strong HVAC knowledge and a track record of delivering projects up to £5m.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Project Manager within the M&E / building services sector.
• Experience delivering commercial projects, ideally with values up to £5m.
• Strong technical knowledge of mechanical building services (HVAC, pipework, plant, etc).
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
• Strong commercial awareness and cost control experience.
• SMSTS / CSCS (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Manage mechanical services packages on large commercial projects from inception to completion.
• Take full ownership of project delivery including programme, cost control, quality and health & safety.
• Coordinate closely with clients, consultants, main contractors and internal delivery teams.
• Manage subcontractors, procurement and material scheduling.
• Oversee commissioning, snagging and final handover.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to specification.
• Produce regular progress reports and attend project meetings.
