Job summary

Danny Sullivan Group is seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to lead high‑value MEP schemes in London and Essex. You will own the mechanical delivery from design development through to completion, working alongside the electrical team to deliver cohesive Cat B fit-out projects.

Ideal candidates will have a proven background delivering £4m+ projects and will be technically confident, commercially aware and capable of managing client, consultant and subcontractor relationships on site.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering £4m+ Cat B fit-out, refurbishment or plant replacement projects.
• Able to lead and coordinate mechanical packages with other trades.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to manage clients, consultants and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage mechanical subcontractors and site teams.
• Manage programmes, procurement and resources for projects.
• Review designs, drawings and specifications to ensure buildability and compliance.
• Manage client, consultant and subcontractor relationships to secure project success.
• Monitor project progress, quality and commercial performance against plans.
• Coordinate variations, WIP and final accounts in collaboration with the QS.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and to a high standard.
• Work closely with the electrical PM to coordinate the wider MEP delivery.

Job description

An exciting opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to join a growing building services contractor delivering high-value commercial projects across London and Essex.

This is a key role for someone who enjoys taking ownership, leading projects and being close to the delivery. You’ll manage the mechanical side of projects from design development through to completion, working alongside the electrical project team to deliver successful MEP schemes.

The Projects

You’ll be working on £4m–£10m Cat B fit-out, refurbishment and plant replacement projects, delivered on a full Design & Build basis from Stage 3 onwards.

Mechanical packages will include:

• HVAC & ventilation
• VRF heating & cooling
• Public health
• Mechanical pipework
• BMS

The Role

You’ll have full responsibility for the mechanical project delivery, including:

• Leading and managing mechanical subcontractors and site teams
• Managing programmes, procurement and resources
• Reviewing designs, drawings and specifications
• Managing client, consultant and subcontractor relationships
• Monitoring project progress, quality and commercial performance
• Managing variations, WIP and final accounts alongside the QS
• Ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and to a high standard
• Working closely with the electrical PM to coordinate the wider MEP delivery

About You

We’re looking for a strong Mechanical Project Manager with a proven background in commercial building services.

You’ll ideally have experience delivering £4m+ projects, particularly within Cat B fit-out, refurbishment or plant replacement.

You’ll be technically confident, commercially aware and comfortable dealing with clients, consultants and subcontractors. Just as importantly, you’ll be someone who takes ownership, leads from the front and gets things done.
