360 Recruitment is seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to oversee mechanical packages in Central London commercial fit-out projects. The role involves managing fast-track office installs, coordinating plant and design information, and delivering projects safely, on time and within budget.

The ideal candidate has a strong mechanical background, PM experience in commercial fit-outs, and a track record of managing projects up to several million pounds.

• Ensure delivery on time, within budget and to quality standards.
• Coordinate mechanical installations, design information and submissions with other trades.
• Monitor programmes, identify delays and implement solutions to maintain milestones.
• Maintain relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors and project team.
• Collaborate with commercial teams on procurement, valuations and costs.
• Oversee health and safety compliance, RAMS, inspections, snagging and handover.

Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 per annum / Up to £85,000 for Senior Project Managers

The Opportunity

360 Recruitment are currently working with an established mechanical contractor who is looking to appoint an experienced Mechanical Project Manager or Senior Project Manager to oversee the delivery of mechanical packages across commercial fit-out and refurbishment projects in Central London.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing fast-track commercial office fit-out projects, overseeing mechanical installations, plant, design coordination and associated building services works.

Projects will predominantly be located between Old Street and Victoria, with the opportunity to work across a variety of technically challenging commercial environments, including potential life sciences projects.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Mechanical PM looking to join a well-established contractor offering long-term opportunities and a competitive salary package.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage mechanical packages across fast-track commercial fit-out and refurbishment projects from pre-construction through to completion.
• Oversee the planning, procurement and coordination of labour, materials, plant and subcontractors.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.
• Coordinate mechanical installations, design information and technical submissions alongside other trades and project stakeholders.
• Monitor project programmes, identify potential delays and implement solutions to maintain key milestones.
• Maintain strong working relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors and the wider project team.
• Work closely with commercial teams to manage procurement, valuations, cost reporting and project expenditure.
• Oversee health and safety compliance, RAMS, quality inspections, snagging and final handover.

The Ideal Candidate

• Proven experience working as a Mechanical Project Manager or Senior Project Manager within the commercial construction sector.
• Strong mechanical background, with a thorough understanding of mechanical building services, plant installations and associated systems.
• Previous experience managing fast-track commercial fit-out projects, ideally with project values up to £6 million.
• Experience working with or alongside recognised Tier 1 or Tier 2 fit-out contractors would be highly advantageous.
• Strong understanding of project programming, procurement, subcontractor management and design coordination.
• Experience delivering commercial office fit-outs is highly desirable, with life sciences experience considered an advantage.
• Excellent communication, organisational and client-facing skills.
• IT literate, with experience using Microsoft Office and project programming software.

• Mechanical Project Manager: £60,000 - £75,000 per annum
