Job summary

Bennett And Game Recruitment is seeking a Mechanical Project Manager to lead delivery of complex mechanical services in healthcare projects across London and South of England.

The role involves managing projects from inception to handover, conducting site visits, coordinating design and estimating, preparing quotations, purchasing materials, supervising labour and ensuring on-time, within-budget delivery to the highest standards.

Qualifications

• Experience managing mechanical projects involving AHUs, VRV/VRF systems, ductwork, boilers and chillers.
• Minimum 5 years' experience managing mechanical project delivery from inception to completion.
• Based in London or surrounding areas, willing to travel in the South of England.
• Healthcare sector experience is essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects from inception through to final handover and ensure delivery to quality and safety standards.
• Conduct site visits and surveys, oversee design and estimating, prepare quotations.
• Procure materials, negotiate purchases, and supervise labour on site.

Job Overview

A specialist Mechanical Contractor based in Essex, with over 60 years of industry experience, is looking for an additional Mechanical Project Manager to join their expanding Projects Division. The successful Mechanical Project Manager will be responsible for managing projects from initial inception through to final handover, taking full ownership of the project lifecycle. This will include conducting site visits and surveys, overseeing design and estimating, preparing quotations, negotiating and purchasing materials, supervising labour, coordinating commissioning, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required standards.

Projects will consist of a combination of fit-out works and live asset replacement projects, the projects will be delivered specifically across medical and healthcare sites, therefore previous experience working within the healthcare sector is essential. Project values will range from approximately £50,000 to £5 million. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical contracting background, proven experience managing projects from conception through to completion, and a solid understanding of delivering complex mechanical services within healthcare environments.

Job Requirements

• Proven experience managing the delivery of mechanical projects involving AHUs, VRV/VRF systems, ductwork, boilers, and chillers, including fit-outs, replacements, upgrades, and refurbishments.
• A minimum of 5 years' experience managing mechanical project delivery from inception through to completion.
• Computer literate, with strong proficiency in MS Office, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• Based in London or the surrounding areas, with a willingness to travel across the South of England to deliver projects across various regions.
