Job summary

Bennett and Game Recruitment LTD is seeking a Mechanical Project Manager for an award-winning HVAC company with UK offices. The role combines 50% home/office work and 50% site-based activity, managing projects from inception to handover.

You will lead a team of at least 2 PAYE Installation Engineers plus subcontractors, with a salary of £70,000–£80,000 DOE and a management bonus scheme, plus an car allowance. London/home counties preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience delivering large scale HVAC projects.
• Experience managing a team of engineers directly reporting to the candidate.
• Strong commercial awareness with ability to manage budgets.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects from inception to handover including site visits, surveys, designs, estimations and quotations.
• Negotiate and purchase materials, supervise labour, and coordinate commissioning and O&M's.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget, supervising a team of engineers and subcontractors.

Position: Mechanical Project Manager Salary: £70,000 - £80,000 DOE

Mechanical Project Manager required for an award-winning HVAC company with regional offices throughout the UK, due to continued growth in the project division, our client is seeking a Mechanical Project Manager to join their expanding Projects division.

The Mechanical Project Manager will be managing projects from initial inception to handover, this will include site visits, surveys, designs, estimations and quotations, negotiate & purchase materials, supervise labour, commissioning, client training and O&M's. Ensuring that the project is delivered within budget and on time. The Mechanical Project Manager will be managing a team of at least 2 direct PAYE Installation Engineers plus additional sub-contractors.

It is required that the Mechanical Project Manager will have at least 5 years proven experience delivering large scale AHU, Chiller, VRV, VRF, Boiler and ventilation projects. The role will be 50% working from home/office based and 50% site based.

Mechanical Project Manager Position Requirements

• Experience project managing AHUs, VRV/VRF, ducting, boiler and chiller replacements & upgrades
• Whilst practical and hands on experience is advantageous, technical mastery, communication skills and autonomy are equally important.
• A minimum of 5 years' experience, with responsibility for running projects, as well as managing a team of engineers who have reported directly to the candidate.
• Computer literate, proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) and MS Projects
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines
• Strong commercial awareness
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Good attention to detail
• Contract negotiation
• Ideally live in London or the home counties
