Job summary

Team BMS is seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to join our Essex/Home Counties team. You will oversee mechanical projects from handover to completion, taking ownership of programmes, budgets and quality across multiple sites.

You will coordinate with clients, contractors and suppliers, manage procurement, monitor costs and risks, and report progress at regular site meetings. A strong background in mechanical building services and excellent communication are essential.

• Strong mechanical building services experience.
• Proven experience managing projects from start to finish.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail.
• Experience managing subcontractors, suppliers and site teams.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
• Professional approach with the confidence to communicate with clients and stakeholders at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Manage mechanical projects from initial handover through to successful completion.
• Take overall responsibility for project delivery, programme, budget and quality.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, consultants, suppliers and internal teams.
• Manage project programmes and ensure key milestones are achieved.
• Monitor project costs, variations and commercial performance.
• Oversee procurement, subcontractors and project resources.
• Ensure all works are delivered safely, efficiently and to the required standards.
• Attend site meetings and provide regular project updates.
• Identify and manage project risks, issues and opportunities.
• Maintain strong client relationships and support repeat business.
