Job summary
ALTEN is seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer to support pressure systems compliance and structural integrity on a major engineering programme. The role coordinates between engineering teams, suppliers, regulators, and stakeholders to keep pressure equipment compliant throughout its lifecycle. You will help manage technical queries and drive safety case delivery, with exposure to highly regulated sectors such as nuclear, power, oil & gas or aerospace.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or equivalent.
Experience on large-scale projects in highly regulated industries.
Strong project coordination and stakeholder management skills.
Knowledge of pressure systems, asset integrity, and relevant codes.
Responsibilities
Coordinate compliance activities for pressure systems across major projects.
Manage technical queries and ensure documentation aligns with codes and safety cases.
Interface between engineering teams, suppliers, regulators and stakeholders.
Support the delivery of compliance requirements across project lifecycle.
Review technical deliverables and coordinate actions to resolution.
Monitor compliance activities and escalate risks when needed.
Ensure contractors and suppliers meet project requirements.
Apply industry codes and standards with SMEs supervision.
