Job summary

ALTEN LTD - UK is seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer to support the delivery of pressure systems compliance and structural integrity requirements on a major engineering programme. The role acts as the link between engineering teams, suppliers, regulators, and project stakeholders to ensure compliance throughout the lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified Mechanical Engineer with experience on large-scale projects in highly regulated industries.
• Experience coordinating across engineering teams, suppliers, regulators and stakeholders.
• Knowledge of pressure systems, safety cases and industry standards is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support development and maintenance of pressure systems compliance requirements on major projects.
• Coordinate technical activities to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
• Manage interfaces between engineering teams, suppliers and project stakeholders.
• Support structural integrity and pressure systems safety case requirements.
• Review and coordinate technical documentation and deliverables.
• Manage technical queries and compliance-related actions through to resolution.
• Support contract delivery and ensure suppliers meet project requirements.
• Monitor compliance activities and escalate risks when needed; work with SMEs to apply industry codes.
