Job summary

Uniper is seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer to support delivery of projects, outages and maintenance across UK and Swedish assets. The role offers exposure to a mix of technologies on established and newer power plants and gas storage facilities, with development opportunities and significant scale.

The candidate should have a Mechanical Engineering degree or HND, strong project management and HSSE knowledge, and experience with process plant mechanics, including pressure systems.

Qualifications

• Higher National Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• IOSH Managing Safely or NEBOSH certificate or recognised equivalent.
• Experience in industrial process plant mechanical engineering and maintenance practices.
• Knowledge of health, safety and environmental legislation and standards.
• Ability to manage projects, contracts and on/off-site work including HSSE and quality considerations.

Responsibilities

• Deliver projects and outages, and manage stakeholders across Uniper’s UK assets and supply chain.
• Undertake fault finding, problem solving and investigations across plant and systems to meet KPIs.
• Lead project teams and contractors as required by project complexity.
• Define scopes of work and develop technical and contract specifications.
• Ensure contractor Quality Assurance and Quality Control throughout delivery.
• Promote health, safety, environmental and quality improvements across Asset Support.
