Job summary

Siemens Energy in the United Kingdom is seeking a Project Engineer to support the Transmission Service hub across the UK & IE. You will engage in onshore and offshore projects for blue-chip clients in power transmission, distribution, and generation, ensuring long-term asset reliability and energy supply.

The role covers governance, budgeting, scheduling, risk and quality management, and close collaboration with operations to align resources and delivery.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in project management within the energy sector.
• Strong skills in project governance, stakeholder management, and communications.
• Experience in budgeting, cost control, and financial management.
• Ability to manage project scope and changes effectively.
• Familiarity with risk management and quality assurance processes.
• Excellent organisational and planning skills.
• Willingness to travel to sites and customer premises as required.

Responsibilities

• Manage project governance, monitoring, and reporting to track performance and manage information effectively.
• Oversee stakeholder and communications management, addressing their interests and managing conflicts.
• Develop and control project budgets, monitoring costs and supporting funding submissions.
• Manage project scope, including changes, assumptions, and constraints.
• Collaborate with operations teams to ensure all projects are included in the resource plan.
• Prepare and maintain schedules aligned with project delivery.
• Identify and manage risks and issues, contributing to a comprehensive risk management plan.
• Facilitate procurement processes and contribute to contract management.
• Develop and implement a quality management plan, ensuring project assurance and continuous improvement.
• Manage resources effectively, monitoring progress against plans and ensuring commitment acceptance.
