Job summary

Reed Specialist Recruitment is seeking a Project Engineer (Mechanical) in Northumberland. The role is permanent with a 35.5-hour work week and an early finish on Fridays.

You will manage projects from inception to completion, prepare proposals, review drawings, and provide mechanical expertise across design, development, installation and commissioning phases. The candidate should have 3–5 years in mechanical engineering, with proficiency in AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in mechanical engineering, capital projects or similar.
• Experience managing projects and coordinating multidisciplinary teams.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned projects from inception to completion, ensuring delivery within timelines, budgets and quality standards.
• Prepare and present proposals for projects including cost justifications and progress updates.
• Review technical drawings and engineering specifications for compliance and accuracy.
