Mechanical Project Engineer

Our client, a top–tier MEP Contractor, is seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Engineer to oversee the successful delivery of a Life Sciences project. As part of this well–established company, you will manage the project from pre–construction through to completion.
This role offers long–term work in the Cambridge area, along with excellent opportunities for career progression and professional development. The successful candidate will play a key role in planning, coordinating, and executing the mechanical elements of this high–profile development.

Roles & Responsibilities include, but are not limited to
:
  • Manage the full lifecycle of mechanical works from pre–construction to project handover
  • Develop and manage project plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring timely and cost–effective delivery
  • Maintain cost control and work closely with the QS team for financial reporting
  • Oversee technical submittals, RFIs, and resolve any design issues
  • Delegate tasks effectively across the project team (Engineers, Site Managers, Supervisors, etc.)
  • Promote and enforce health & safety standards, including investigating and reporting any site incidents
