Job description

We are seeking a Mechanical Production Engineer to strengthen our manufacturing operation. The successful candidate will act as the primary liaison between the local manufacturing site and the UK engineering team, ensuring efficient technical alignment and smooth handover of process changes. They will collaborate with Quality, Supply Chain and Maintenance teams to troubleshoot issues and resolve production bottlenecks.

Key tasks:
  • Undergo initial training at the engineering HQ to gain in depth knowledge of products, processes
  • Act as the primary liaison between the local manufacturing site and the UK mechanical team ensuring efficient technical alignment and smooth handover of process changes
  • Support the transfer of new designs and engineering updates into production, including scaling prototypes into full manufacturing
  • Monitor KPIs relevant for the mechanical design, tools and processes, providing regular reports
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and drive continuous improvements
  • Producing engineering documents in line with production need and projects
  • Creating and maintaining manufacturing, PDM and MRP information
  • Producing 3D design as well as detailed engineering drawings using SolidWorks
  • Setting up production jigs
  • Trouble shooting and solving issues for internal departments and external suppliers
Your profile
  • Degree Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • 4 years experience working in a similar environment
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, mechanical assembly systems
  • Experience in using SolidWorks CAD package is essential
  • Familiar with mechanical calculations eg; Torque, force, stress, deformation
  • Excellent problem-solving, data driven decision making and process optimization skills
  • Solid basic knowledge on mechanical engineering from first principles
  • Understanding of a wide range of manufacturing techniques, materials and assembly processes
  • Good communication skills in English
  • Willingness to travel internationally for initial training and occasional follow up visits
