Job summary

CBW Staffing Solutions Ltd is seeking a Mobile Mechanical Plumber to service our facilities client's sites in Leeds, with occasional travel to Manchester. You will maintain HVAC systems, pumps, boilers and plumbing, diagnosing issues and carrying out preventative maintenance to minimise downtime.

Core hours are Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, with participation in an on-call rota. The role offers 25 days of annual leave plus bank holidays, a generous pension, and opportunities for training,

Qualifications

• Strong background in mechanical systems maintenance.
• Experience with HVAC, plumbing and boiler systems.
• Ability to read manuals, blueprints and schematics.
• Familiarity with preventative maintenance practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on mechanical systems including HVAC, pumps, air compressors, water chillers, plumbing and boilers.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues and implement effective solutions.
• Conduct preventative maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and longevity.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities and work orders.
• Ensure safety regulations and industry standards are followed.
• Assist in procuring parts and supplies for maintenance tasks.
• Provide technical guidance to junior staff as needed.
• Respond to emergency maintenance requests promptly.

CBW Staffing Solutions are currently hiring for a skilled and motivated Mechanical Plumber for our facilities management client’s team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical systems maintenance and a proactive approach to problem-solving. As a Mechanical Plumber, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance and longevity of the end-client’s mechanical infrastructure.

This is a mobile opportunity covering the Leeds area with occasional travel to Manchester.

• Competitive salary up to £42,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Requirements

• Qualified to at least Level 3 City & Guilds in Mechanical Maintenance Engineering or Plumbing & Heating or equivalent.
• Proven experience in mechanical maintenance within the facilities management industry.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and boilers.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues.
• Familiarity with preventative maintenance practices and procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
