Job summary

NG Bailey Facilities Services is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Technician for a Monday–Friday role in Manchester city centre. You will handle PPM and reactive maintenance on mechanical plant and HVAC systems across five commercial buildings, with on-site parking and a 08:00–16:30 schedule.

Applicants should have Level 3 Mechanical qualification, BMS experience and HVAC certificates, plus RAMS and safety knowledge. The role offers overtime, benefits and pension support.

Responsibilities

• Carry out PPM and reactive maintenance on mechanical plant and HVAC systems.

• Complete documentation and compliance records accurately.
• Identify defects and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and manage permits where needed.

Mechanical Maintenance Technician (Days Only)

Summary

NG Bailey Facilities Services are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join a market-leading, forward-thinking company to be part of a team looking after 5 commercial buildings (all the buildings are within 5 minutes' walk of each other) contract based in the city centre of Manchester, Free parking available onsite

Some of the key deliverables in this role will include:

• Carry out PPM and reactive maintenance mechanical plant, HVAC equipment, and associated building services infrastructure.
• Perform maintenance in line with SFG20 or equivalent standards and contractual SLAs/KPIs.
• Maintain plant rooms and building services areas to a high standard of housekeeping.
• Ensure work is undertaken in line with specific method statements &riskassessments and relevant safety legislation and NG Bailey health and safety systems and procedures.
• Provide excellent service delivery by ensuring PPM tasks and reactive works are completed within contractual Service LevelAgreement's to meet KPI's.
• Ensure that all Operational activities are carried out in Compliance with internal regulations and external Legislation governing the Business Operations.
• Capable of working without assistance and managing Reactive Works & Small Projects carried out by others
• Complete all documentation, logbooks, certificates, and compliance records accurately.
• Identify defects, recommend remedial works, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

• The position is Monday to Friday 0800 -1630

What we're looking for:

An experienced Technician working to a high standard of building services provision (planned and reactive) within a commercial occupied environment and with the utmost regard for customer service.

You will hold current qualifications to include

• Level 3 Equivalent from a Mechanical Discipline. BMS experience and multi-skilling capability and or HVAC certificates, equivalent qualifications,
• Service & repair, of Heating/Cooling systems and other water systems
• Small mechanical installation works (valves, taps, etc)
• M&E Fault-finding
• BMS/Controls - User knowledge/experience
• Experience of PPM's to Pumps, AHUs, FCUs, Pressurisation units, Vessels, actuators, calorifiers etc.
• Legionella qualification/experience
• Understanding of RAMS, Point of work risk assessments and permits
• Managing sub-contractors (Permits, Escorting etc)
• Experience using digital CAFM system on smart phone or tablet
• Unvented hot water qualification & IPAF desirable
