Job summary

Nuclear Restoration Services (NRS) is seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our site team at Hunterston A in the UK. This hands-on role focuses on safe, reliable mechanical maintenance to support decommissioning and environmental restoration objectives.

You'll perform preventative and reactive maintenance on motors, gearboxes, valves and ventilation systems, lead maintenance tasks, and ensure work complies with permits and risk assessments in a highly regulated nuclear

Qualifications

• Time-served Mechanical Fitter with SVQ Level 3 or equivalent
• Proven industrial mechanical maintenance experience
• Strong knowledge of health and safety practices and permits to work
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings

Responsibilities

• Deliver planned and reactive maintenance on mechanical plant and equipment across site
• Lead and support mechanical maintenance tasks, fault diagnosis and repair activities
• Ensure all work is completed safely through risk assessments, permits and approved procedures
• Support installations, inspections and continuous improvement initiatives across the site
