Job summary

Amey is seeking a Permanent on-site Electrician for our Nuclear Restoration services at Hunterston A, West Kilbride (KA23 9RA). The role focuses on planned and reactive maintenance in a regulated nuclear environment, with a 37-hour week (07:30–17:15, Monday–Thursday).

You will hold a CSCS/ECS/Gold card, SVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation, and IEE 18th Edition, delivering safe electrical work and accurate documentation while complying with BPSS checks.

Qualifications

• Time served Electrician with in-date CSCS/ECS/Gold card.
• SVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (SCQF Level 7) or an approved equivalent qualification.
• IEE 18th Edition Regulations.
• Experience across electrical installation work.
• Maintenance and installation capabilities within contract scope.
• Pro-active with fault diagnosis and repair.
• Accurate work recording on worksheets and systems.
• Effective prioritisation of workload.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and operate equipment safely in line with Health & Safety.
• Monitor preventative maintenance and inspections.
• Record inspection reports and remedial work.
• Keep up to date with statutory regulations and safety procedures.
• Undertake electrical repairs and installations as required.
• Perform electrical inspection and testing as planned.
• Carry out electrical project/installation work as needed.
• Complete all work documentation accurately and on time.
• Follow company policies and procedures.
• Carry out tasks safely and diligently.
• Attend training and appraisal activities.
• Take on additional duties within capability.
