Job summary

Anglian Water Group is seeking a Wastewater Maintenance Technician to carry out general repairs, investigate faults, and perform scheduled maintenance to keep water recycling assets reliable. You will work on mechanical systems at water treatment sites and supporting equipment in Tilbury and surrounding areas.

Qualifications

• NVQ level 2/3 in mechanical/engineering (or equivalent) or completed relevant apprenticeship.
• Full UK driving licence is required.
• Experience with mechanical control systems, telemetry, pumps and gearboxes is advantageous.

• Carry out general repairs and maintenance on mechanical assets.
• Investigate faults and rectify issues on site.
• Perform scheduled maintenance to ensure asset reliability (water recycling assets).

Get ready to make a difference and join us as a maintenance technician, responsible for carrying out general repairs, investigating and rectifying faults and completing scheduled maintenance to ensure the reliability of our assets. With support from a collaborative team, your mechanical knowledge will enable you to be responsible for the day-to-day operation and maintenance of water recycling assets - including equipment installed at water treatment works, as well as carrying out planned & reactive maintenance on our mechanical assets Experience working with mechanical control systems, telemetry systems, pumps, gearboxes and general mechanical/electrical plant maintenance would also be advantageous. This role is vital and will have a direct impact on the environment and communities that we serve. What does it take to be a Wastewater Maintenance Technician? Starting Basic salary (plus standby & overtime payments): £39,520 for candidates with NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent in Mechanical/Engineering Subject) £35,360 for candidates with NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent in Mechanical/Engineering Subject)
Permanent Full-time, with flexibility for part-time, 37 hours, 5-day working pattern including some weekends.
