Job summary

Jobtailor seeks a hands-on Maintenance Technician to support the reliability of water recycling assets and associated mechanical plant. You will perform general repairs, fault investigations, and scheduled maintenance to keep equipment operating at optimal levels.

Applicants should hold an NVQ Level 2/3 in mechanical engineering or an equivalent apprenticeship, with a full UK driving licence. Experience with mechanical control systems and telemetry is advantageous.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in mechanical/engineering or an equivalent apprenticeship.
• Full UK driving licence is required.
• Experience with mechanical control systems, telemetry systems, pumps, gearboxes and general mechanical/electrical plant maintenance is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general repairs, investigate faults, and complete scheduled maintenance to ensure asset reliability.
• Operate and maintain water recycling assets, including equipment installed at water treatment works.
• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on mechanical assets.

• Carrying out general repairs, investigating and rectifying faults and completing scheduled maintenance to ensure the reliability of our assets.
• Responsible for the day-to-day operation and maintenance of water recycling assets - including equipment installed at water treatment works.
• Carrying out planned & reactive maintenance on our mechanical assets.

Requirements

• NVQ level 2 or 3 (mechanical/engineering) qualification (or equivalent) and/or completed a relevant apprenticeship
• Full UK driving licence
• Experience working with mechanical control systems, telemetry systems, pumps, gearboxes and general mechanical/electrical plant maintenance would also be advantageous.

Demonstrates expertise in mechanical and electrical plant maintenance, including planned and reactive maintenance of water recycling assets. Holds relevant qualifications and possesses hands-on experience with mechanical control systems and telemetry systems.
