Job summary

Entech Technical Solutions is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Technician for a global automotive company based in Peterborough. The role is 12 months with a likely extension, starting ASAP, with hours Mon-Thu 8am–4:30pm and Fri 8am–1pm, in a 9-day fortnight.

You will diagnose faults across mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems, respond to breakdowns on testbeds and facility equipment, and assist with installation and upgrades of plant machinery.

Qualifications

• Completed engineering apprenticeship and/or NVQ Level 3 or equivalent relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge of maintenance processes, tools, equipment and processes.
• Experience within a manufacturing, industrial or plant maintenance environment.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical drawings and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Respond to breakdowns across testbeds and other facility equipment, carrying out fault finding and repairs.
• Maintain, repair and install new facility equipment.
• Use a range of hand and power tools and lifting equipment in accordance with standard procedures.
• Diagnose faults across mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems.
