Job summary

Entech Technical Solutions Limited in Peterborough is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Technician for a global automotive company. The role involves breakdown response on testbeds and facility equipment, fault finding, and servicing of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems.

Role requires an engineering apprenticeship or NVQ3 and experience in a manufacturing or plant maintenance setting. Offers 12 months with possible extension and a 9-day fortnight schedule.

Qualifications

• Completed engineering apprenticeship and/or NVQ Level 3 or equivalent relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge of maintenance processes, tools, equipment and processes.
• Experience within a manufacturing, industrial or plant maintenance environment.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical drawings and schematics.

• Respond to breakdowns across testbeds and other facility equipment, carrying out fault finding and repairs.
• Maintain, repair and install new facility equipment.
• Use a range of hand and power tools and lifting equipment in accordance with standard procedures.

Job description

Location: Peterborough

Rate: £30 per hour FCSA Umbrella (Inside IR35) OR £22 PAYE

Duration: 12 months, with likely extension

Start: ASAP

Hours: Monday to Thursday 8am - 4:30pm and 8am - 1pm Fridays. 9-day fortnight.
