Job summary

Meridian Business Support Ltd is seeking an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor to oversee mechanical and building services across a cluster of sites in East London and Essex. This mobile role requires supervising a team of engineers and coordinating planned and reactive maintenance to ensure high standards and safety compliance.

The role offers regular overtime opportunities and on-call payments, with a clear pathway into management and a fully supported training package.

Qualifications

• NVQ or City & Guilds Level 2 in Plumbing, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning 6187 or equivalent.
• Electrical qualifications beneficial but not essential.
• Experience supervising a large team of engineers.
• Hands-on maintenance of mechanical systems, heating and ventilation.
• Full, clean UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Oversee delivery of mechanical and general building services across multiple sites.
• Coordinate planned and reactive maintenance and manage specialist contractors.
• Ensure statutory compliance and health and safety standards are maintained.
• Liaise with client and stakeholders to support day-to-day site operations.

Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor - FM Service Provider

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor to join a leading commercial FM service provider, covering a cluster of sites across East London and Essex.

The successful candidate will oversee the delivery of mechanical and general building services across multiple sites, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

The role will involve supervising a team of engineers, coordinating planned and reactive maintenance, managing specialist contractors, and ensuring statutory compliance and health and safety standards are consistently maintained.

You will also work closely with the client and key stakeholders to support the smooth day-to-day operation of each site.

Hours of Work

Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm

Pay

• £48,500 per annum
• Regular overtime opportunities at x1.5 and x2, plus on-call payments every 1 in 6 weeks
• Travel time paid after 45 minutes
• Fully funded training available, including IOSH, IPAF, PASMA and management programmes

Requirements

You will hold current mechanical qualifications, such as:

• NVQ or City & Guilds Level 2 in Plumbing, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning 6187, or a similar relevant qualification
• Electrical qualifications would be beneficial, but are not essential
• Strong experience across mechanical building services, including service, repair and installation
• Excellent knowledge and hands-on experience maintaining and repairing mechanical systems, heating systems and ventilation systems
• Previous experience supervising or supporting a large team of engineers with varying levels of experience
