Partnership Recruiting is seeking a fully qualified mechanical fitter for a well-established manufacturing client in East Lothian. The role requires on-site work in a high-output environment, independent shift work, and collaboration within a safety-focused maintenance team.

The ideal candidate will have heavy industrial experience, strong fault-finding skills, and a proactive approach to reliability and efficiency improvements.

Formación

• Fully qualified mechanical fitter with relevant certification.
• Experience in heavy mechanical / industrial environments.
• Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and safety-focused.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and cross-functional collaboration.
• Proficient with maintenance IT systems.

Responsabilidades

• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to reduce downtime and support production continuity.
• Diagnose faults, repair and replace defective mechanical components.
• Record maintenance activities accurately using internal IT systems.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and support overhauls during scheduled downtime periods.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and maintenance team meetings.
• Ensure all work is completed in line with health & safety procedures, including work permits.
• Collaborate effectively with team members and other departments to support business objectives.
• Engage in special engineering projects or upgrades as required.

Educación

Fully qualified mechanical fitter (certification essential)
