Job summary

Pioneer Selection Ltd is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Technician for a Blackburn-based manufacturing site. You will maintain blow and injection moulding machinery to maximise uptime and efficiency, performing fault-finding and repairs across the production line.

The role offers 6am-6pm shifts (42 hours/week) with a salary of £46,800 per year. The ideal candidate will have hands-on hydraulic fault-finding and be able to read hydraulic drawings within an industrial setting.

Qualifications

• Mechanical maintenance experience within an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on hydraulic fault-finding and the ability to read hydraulic drawings.
• UK-based maintenance experience is desirable.
• Experience in heavy engineering environments (rail, waste, oil & gas or similar).

Responsibilities

• Carry out mechanical maintenance, fault-finding and repairs on blow and injection moulding machinery to maximise uptime and efficiency across the site.
• Involve in machine setups, improving cycle times, and engineering improvement projects.
• Resolve complex hydraulic faults and support continuous improvement initiatives.
