Pioneer Selection is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Technician in Blackburn, Lancashire. The role focuses on mechanical maintenance, fault-finding and repairs across blow and injection moulding machinery to maximise uptime.

You will participate in machine setups, drive cycle-time improvements and contribute to engineering projects within a supportive, established engineering team. The position offers a competitive salary of £46,800 per year, 42 hours per week, and a range of benefits.

Qualifications

• Mechanical maintenance experience within an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on hydraulic fault-finding and ability to read hydraulic drawings.
• Experience in UK heavy engineering environments is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Carry out mechanical maintenance, fault-finding and repairs on blow and injection moulding machinery.
• Set up machines, improve cycle times and support engineering improvement projects.
• Resolve complex hydraulic faults to maximise uptime and efficiency.

Job Title - Mechanical Maintenance Technician

Shift: 6am-6pm, 42 hours per week

Non-Negotiable Requirements of the Mechanical Maintenance Technician

• Mechanical maintenance experience within an industrial manufacturing environment.

• Experience working as a Maintenance Engineer within the UK.
• Experience within heavy engineering environments such as rail, waste, oil & gas or similar industries.
