Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Mechanical Maintenance Engineer for an industrial facility in Queenstown. You will implement robust maintenance strategies, including preventive and predictive measures, to minimize disruptions and maximize reliability of critical equipment.

The role requires hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting and spare parts management, with a focus on safety and process efficiency in a busy production environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in mechanical maintenance in an industrial setting.
• Strong understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics and rotating equipment.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and manage preventative and predictive maintenance programs for all mechanical equipment.
• Perform routine inspections and diagnostic testing to identify potential equipment failures.
• Respond promptly to mechanical breakdowns, diagnosing issues and executing timely repairs.
• Manage maintenance schedules, work orders and spare parts inventory using CMMS software.
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and company policies.
• Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance.
