Job summary

EMCOR UK is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to perform planned and unplanned mechanical maintenance across client sites in Aldermaston, Berkshire. You will ensure preventive and reactive maintenance is completed on schedule, with proper documentation and safety standards upheld.

The role requires proven building services experience, NVQ Level 2 or equivalent, and knowledge of PSSR 2000/Confined Space, Legionella, and Permit to Work.

Qualifications

• Minimum NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in relevant discipline.
• Proven experience within a building services environment.
• Knowledge of PSSR 2000/Confined Space, Legionella, and Permit to Work systems desirable.
• Good all-round knowledge of Facility Management and Building Service Engineering.
• Ability to establish, implement and monitor high standards of excellence in safety and operational performance.

Responsibilities

• Perform planned and unplanned mechanical maintenance to keep contracts operating efficiently.
• Rectify defects ensuring safety and performance standards are met.
• Carry out routine maintenance on all mechanical systems.
• Supervise specialist contractors and ensure documentation is completed.
• Liaise with Helpdesk and respond to urgent maintenance tasks promptly.
• Maintain good housekeeping and represent EMCOR professionally.
• Keep technical training and development up-to-date.
