Job summary

Randstad CPE is recruiting a Mechanical Engineer for a leading Facilities Management provider in Staffordshire. The role focuses on safe, compliant operation of mechanical and gas systems across the site, with emphasis on maintenance and timely testing.

You will work with a multi-skilled FM team, undertake PPMs, and support external contractors. A recognised mechanical apprenticeship (NVQ/City & Guilds) and Gas Safe status are desirable.

Qualifications

• Proven fault-finding and maintenance skills.
• Strong communication with customers and team.
• Willingness to complete AP status and health checks.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and gas system testing.
• Troubleshoot faults and rectify defects on site equipment.
• Install new mechanical systems per specifications and standards.
• Maintain up-to-date maintenance schedules and compliance records.
