Job summary

CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is recruiting a Mechanical Bias Engineer to join our Chester team. The role focuses on maintaining domestic water systems to comply with L8, carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on heating and air-conditioning plant, and ensuring safe working practices and good client liaison.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining pumps, motors and valves on mechanical plant.
• Experience operating cooling towers and associated systems.
• Domestic and commercial plumbing knowledge with a health & safety focus.
• Time served plumber with NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent.
• Basic IT skills for record-keeping and tasks.

Responsibilities

• Maintain domestic water systems to meet L8 standards.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and responsive works.
• Rectify plant faults to keep equipment in serviceable order.
• Ensure spares are available and records are kept (Frontline sheets).
• Prepare method statements and risk assessments for tasks.
