Job summary

Omega Resource Group is recruiting a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to work days (Mon-Thu) in Doncaster. The role offers 32 or 40 hours with part or full-time considered on a 12-month fixed-term contract with a view to permanent.

You will perform planned, preventative and reactive maintenance on process and packaging equipment, work with conveyors and CMMS, and contribute to site improvement and downtime reduction. Training and development are provided.

Qualifications

• Apprentice trained or NVQ Level 3 in mechanical maintenance.
• Experience in manufacturing FMCG environments.
• Understanding of PPM schedules and fault resolution.

Responsibilities

• Provide planned, preventive and breakdown maintenance to minimise production losses.
• Keep production running by reducing downtime through fault finding on process equipment.
• Conduct planned and reactive maintenance; work with conveyors and materials handling.
• Lead mechanical repairs and work with CMMS; diagnose root causes.
• Support annual equipment overhauls and continuous improvement initiatives.
