Mirfield-based role for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer within a manufacturing setting. You will fault-find, repair and maintain production machinery, with a focus on hydraulics, pneumatics and mechanical systems.

The position offers a salary up to £49,000 per annum, on a full-time 3-shift rota including every third Saturday, working for Aqumen Recruitment in a busy manufacturing environment.

Formación

• Apprentice trained in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience as Mechanical Maintenance Engineer in manufacturing.
• Strong mechanical fault-finding and repair skills.
• Good hydraulics and pneumatics knowledge.
• Experience with PPM and reactive repairs.
• Willing to work rotating 3-shift pattern, including every third Saturday.
• Knowledge of MIG/TIG/ARC welding.
• Commitment to health and safety and continuous improvement.

Responsabilidades

• Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance on production machinery.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical breakdowns to minimise downtime.
• Fault find and maintain hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical systems.
• Support machinery installations, repairs and improvements.
• Identify recurring faults and implement reliability improvements.
• Coordinate with production to prioritise breakdowns.
• Complete maintenance records and handovers between shifts.
• Contribute to continuous improvement across the facility.
• Maintain high health, safety and housekeeping standards.
