Job summary

Pioneer Selection Ltd in Swadlincote is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to maintain production machinery in a fully automated manufacturing environment. You will perform mechanical fault-finding, breakdown responses, and planned maintenance to support continuous improvement and minimise downtime.

The role requires hands-on maintenance in a fast-paced plant, with 4 on 4 off days and nights, offering a strong pension, life assurance and excellent progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• Mechanical maintenance experience within an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Hands on experience with pre-planned, reactive and breakdown maintenance in fast paced industrial factory.
• Apprentice Trained / NVQ Level 3 qualification within Engineering
• Strong mechanical fault-finding skills
• Good working knowledge of automated equipment and fault diagnosis on mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Experience working within the UK manufacturing sector

Responsibilities

• Responsible for mechanical fault-finding, breakdown response and planned maintenance on production machinery.
• Support continuous improvement and minimise downtime in a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility.

Job Role of the Mechanical Maintenance Engineer:

You will be responsible for mechanical fault-finding, breakdown response, and planned maintenance activities on production machinery, supporting continuous improvement and minimising downtime.

Sector - Factory Maintenance

Non-Negotiable Requirements of the Mechanical Maintenance Engineer:

• Mechanical maintenance experience within an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Hands on experience with pre-planned, reactive and breakdown maintenance in fast paced industrial factory.
• Apprentice Trained / NVQ Level 3 qualification within Engineering

Requirements for the Mechanical Maintenance Engineer:

• Strong mechanical fault-finding skills
• Good working knowledge of automated equipment and be a competent in fault diagnosis on general mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems

Desirable Requirements for the Mechanical Maintenance Engineer:
