Hunter Selection are helping a well-established food manufacturing company in the Redditch area appoint a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to support automated production and essential site equipment.

Based in Redditch with commutable from Birmingham and surrounding areas, the role covers planned and reactive maintenance on processing machinery and conveyors, aiming to maximise reliability and efficiency. Training provided for boilers, refrigeration and other systems.

Qualifications

• Mechanical maintenance experience in a food manufacturing environment.
• Experience with process equipment and conveyors.
• Proactive, safety-conscious, and able to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on food processing machinery and site services.
• Maintain and repair mechanical systems including pumps, motors, and conveyors.
• Ensure equipment reliability and efficiency while supporting production teams.

Shifts: Monday to Friday - double days - 1 Week Earlies & 1 Week Afternoons

Role & Responsibilities

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

• Welding or electrical skills advantageous but not essential.
