Job summary

Randstad CPE seeks an experienced mechanical maintenance engineer for a static site in Oxford. You will join a team handling PPM, reactive tasks, and out-of-hours cover, while supervising visiting sub-contractors to ensure health and safety standards are met.

Ideal candidates hold City and Guilds / NVQ mechanical qualifications, have building services knowledge, and can work well in a team. DBS clearance is required for this position.

Qualifications

• Experience in a commercial environment with building services knowledge.
• Ability to work effectively in a team.
• Be able to pass a DBS check.

Responsibilities

• Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance and complete related paperwork.
• Perform reactive and emergency maintenance tasks and document outcomes.
• Be on a call-out rota for out-of-hours cover.
• Oversee visiting sub-contractors for quality and safety.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures in all tasks.
• Complete work documentation accurately and on time.
• Follow Health and Safety policies during all duties.
• Daily PPM and reactive maintenance including UPS, plumbing, boilers, cooling towers, FCUs/AHUs/fans and heating pumps.

My client is an established FM company looking for a qualified and experienced Mechanical maintenance engineer to join a team on a static site based in Oxford. Main Duties Will Include

• Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance and complete the appropriate paperwork and reports.
• Carry out Reactive and emergency breakdown tasks and complete the associated paperwork.
• Be on a call out rota to provide the client with full out of hours cover.
• Overseeing visiting sub:contractors with regards to standard of work and Health and Safety.
• Carry out all duties in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Understand and complete all work related documentation accurately and on time.
• Comply with all Health and Safety policies and procedures.
• Daily PPM and Reactive Maintenance tasks including : UPS system and associated control systems, Plumbing and drainage systems, Boiler room checks , Cooling towers, Fan coil units / AHUs/ Fans , Heating Pumps

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

• City and Guilds / NVQ Mechanically Qualified (or equivalent)
• Experience in a commercial environment and Good building services knowledge
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Be able to pass a DBS check
