Job summary

RecruitMe is seeking a mechanically biased engineer to join a busy food manufacturing site on a condensed three-day working pattern. The role is hands-on, covering mechanical maintenance across production machinery to keep lines running safely and efficiently.

You will work Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays, 4pm to 4am, in a large-scale manufacturing environment with a mix of planned maintenance and breakdown work. Anick site experience is beneficial.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical fault-finding skills are essential.
• Experience in food manufacturing or FMCG environments is advantageous.
• Practical, reliable engineer capable of working in a fast-paced production site.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out mechanical maintenance across production machinery and equipment

Are you a Mechanical Engineer, Maintenance Engineer or Multi-Skilled Engineer looking for a permanent role with a condensed working week?

We're recruiting for a Mechanical Engineer to join a busy engineering team at a large-scale food manufacturing site in Anwick. You'll work Saturday, Sunday and Monday only, giving you a highly attractive three-day working pattern while remaining in a permanent engineering role.

This is a hands-on maintenance position focused on keeping production machinery running safely, efficiently and reliably.

The Role

You'll be responsible for:

• Carrying out mechanical maintenance across production machinery and equipment
• Responding quickly and effectively to breakdowns
• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults
• Completing planned preventative maintenance
• Supporting production teams to minimise downtime
• Identifying recurring faults and contributing to continuous improvement
• Working safely and following site engineering procedures
• Supporting the wider engineering team across a busy manufacturing environment
